Charlie Chaplin

It was like a small lottery... during the illustration class we had to pick a piece of paper with a known name on it. I got Charlie Chaplin. He was a famous performer for almost 70 years. He started working when he was 5, and worked until he was 80. On 9 March 1975, Charlie Chaplin was knighted in England by Queen Elizabeth II.


The character that Charlie Chaplin played most was called "the Little Tramp". The "Tramp" was a man of good manners, who wore a coat, a pair of big trousers, shoes, mustache, and a black hat.


The task was just to paint the most characteristic features of the known person :)


Isn't Charlie Chaplin a modern character?

Charlie Chaplin squeezed between giant gears - a scene from the movie "modern times". Today, modern means digital, and instead of workpieces on assembly lines, emails are sent non-stop. Instead of being stuck between gears, some people feel stuck between webcam sessions and the sound of cell phones, and Instead of "talking" to people, we use voice recognition softwares...
