The Aurigacian - an early Upper Paleolithic Culture

The earliest European Culture of anatomicatlly modern human is called the Aurigacian. Characteristic feature of this culture include a novel lithic technology, the rise in the use of organic tools, as well as jewelry, art and music instruments. The swabian Aurigacian contains the earliest evidence of this culture typ. Radiometric dates provide an age between 43000 - 35000 years ago.
