Recovery of the castle trench - Removal of sludge from the Gottorf water basin? Massive sediment deposits lead to sludge formation in the trench. The product "Schlixx" from the company Söll should improve the water quality at Gottorf Castle. The Project started in April.

A. Schramm, L.P. Nielsen, U. Marzocchi, J. Otte, A. Bendtsen and representative of Söll visited the A.P. MØller-Skolen in Schleswig to build up a lab studying the Gottorf Sediment. All school kids were fascinated about the cable bacteria and could watch live experiments.

6 weeks after the "Schlixx/CaO2" application in the Gottorf castle trench Lars BP, Ronny B and Julia O have visited Schleswig again. More than 40 sludge cores were taken with a rubber boat and investigated in a laboratory they brought with them to the Slesvig Roklub. June 2021
